Danicapan (ACH{{0}}, ACH-0144471, ACH-CFDIS, ALXN 2040) is an effective and selective oral inhibitor of factor D, with a Kd value of 0.54 nM for human factor D. Danicapan can inhibit the activity of alternative pathway of complement (APC) and has the potential to block the complement pathway in paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) and atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS).
